one night in paris…
A Castaway showed up at the door with eyes as blue as oceans. Barefoot and dripping water at the threshold, he told Mathieu (our main character) that he had found an acacia wooden box of tisanes in the ocean and the raft steered itself to his apartment. Striding across the lounge, Mathieu looked out of his window and saw a raft beached up on the pavement outside, a torn sail flapping in the wind. ‘You sailed here…?’ Mathieu asked. ‘I could scarcely believe my luck,’ the Castaway said, stepping around Mathieu to enter his apartment and sit down at the kitchen table.
